Quick to prepare and even quicker to eat, this pizza dough does not require yeast and is on the plate in no time.

Pizza is great! Unfortunately, the craving for the round treat usually comes spontaneously and who wants to wait over 2 hours for the raised dough? The solution is this simple dough, which can be made completely without yeast and instead uses baking powder. You only need a few minutes to mix it together and then it's ready to use - the dough doesn't need a long rest! I prefer to use a mixture of spelt and whole rye flour for my pizza dough. If you prefer it less healthy, you can of course also take any light flour (you may then have to reduce the liquid a little).
For 1 baking tray you need:
150g wholemeal spelt flour
100g wholemeal rye flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
approx. 100ml water
Preparation:
Knead all the ingredients for the dough and then roll it out thinly on a floured work surface.
Place a baking tray with baking paper, put the rolled out dough on it and poke it several times with a fork.
Pre-bake the pizza base in the oven for about 10 minutes.
Now you can top it as you like and then finish baking the pizza for about 20 minutes.
Enjoy!
Tip: The pizza dough is for example the perfect base for my vegan chopped tofu pizza :)
