Tortillas filled with cheese, pan-fried and served with delicious dips - this is true soul food!

You can't get Mexico on your plate any easier or faster! This recipe is so easy to prepare that it's almost not worth writing it down :D But since I don't want to keep this Mexican treat from you, I've put it in written form for you anyway.

If you don't feel like making your own cheese sauce, you can use any vegan (grated) cheese instead. But I think the sauce brings another very special flavor to the dish.

For dipping, I can recommend my creamy guacamole and my fruity and spicy salsa sauce - you won't regret it! So whether you need food for the next serial marathon or are looking for finger food for the next party (there will come a time when this is possible again!), you can't go wrong with these quesadillas!

For 4 servings you need:

For the quesadillas:

  • 4 tortillas

  • 1 serving of cheese sauce (Alternative: vegan grated cheese).

Other:

Preparation:

  1. Prepare the cheese sauce according to the recipe.

  2. Lay out a tortilla and spread with the sauce (alternatively, sprinkle generously with vegan cheese).

  3. Place a second tortilla on top and press it down a bit.

  4. Place the cheese tortilla in a hot pan and toast it without oil on both sides for a few minutes.

  5. Do the same with the remaining tortillas.

  6. Cut the quesadillas into handy pieces and serve with dips as desired.

Enjoy!

Tip: My creamy guacamole or fruity-hot salsa dip go really well here as side dishes.
